How to prepare

Make the most of your time at La Vallée with a little planning and preparing before you come in for your custom experience. Think about how you’ll want to look and feel when you are trying on each designer wedding gown and as you share each style with whomever will be joining you for your appointment.

Be sure to eat before your appointment so hunger doesn’t become a distraction. Also, do your research and come prepared with some bridal dress styles you like, including the necklines and shapes you want to try on. Establish a budget and share it with your bridal consultant, and be sure to bring along supportive friends and family, but don’t make your entourage too large or it may feel overwhelming.

Hair

Wear your hair in a way that resembles the hairstyle you are thinking about doing for your wedding day. If you know you are going to have your hair pulled back, tie it up while you are trying on gowns. This will give you a more realistic image of how you will look in the gowns you are trying on and will allow your consultant to find the perfect accessories to compliment you.

Makeup

Keep your makeup light and simple. You want to look and feel your best when you’re trying on these designer bridal gowns. On your wedding you will likely be wearing a little more makeup than during your normal day-to-day, and this may be a nice time to try some techniques for the wedding. Keep in mind you will be taking dresses on and off, so be mindful of the type of makeup you are wearing to ensure it doesn’t rub off on the white fabrics.

What to wear

Come in to La Vallée wearing whatever makes you feel both comfortable and beautiful. It may be helpful to have nude-color underwear and a strapless bra along with you, along with a pair of heels. If you already have the undergarments and/or accessories that you will be wearing on your wedding day, bring them with you to your appointment.
